In “Emma & Bruce Willis: The Unexpected Journey,” an interview with Diane Sawyer broadcast on ABC, Emma Heming Willis shared the caregiving journey that she and the extended Willis family have been on since her husband Bruce Willis’s diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia. Ms. Heming Willis discussed the onset of symptoms in her husband and the difficulty of getting an accurate diagnosis, a situation familiar to many families living with FTD. Ms. Heming Willis also described how she became an advocate for people living with FTD and their care partners.
