Providence, RI
Katie Brandt, the MGH FTD Unit’s Director of Caregiver Support Services and Public Relations, was a featured speaker at the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s Educating Across America tour stop in Providence, RI. Katie shared how dementia has shaped her life, from caregiving to her husband Mike and her father to making a career supporting other caregivers and advocating for better policies for people living with dementia and their caregivers. Katie also shared the Care Plan Trifecta, a framework to develop a person-centered care plan that centers on the person with a diagnosis and their care partner and community, unifying healthcare with personal values and goals of care.
In the lead up to the Educating Across America event, Katie was featured in media across Rhode Island.
