Amy Almeida, PhD is the Manager of Caregiver Support Services and Community Engagement for the MGH FTD Unit. In this role, she provides support to the families and care partners of people living with a frontotemporal disorder, organizes community events, engages in development and donor stewardship efforts and creates monthly newsletters and the MGH FTD Unit’s podcast, From Care to Cure. Amy has been a co-facilitator for the Boston-area peer support group for care partners of people living with FTD for over ten years during which time she has assisted hundreds of families in their journeys with FTD. In her free time, Amy enjoys traveling, spoiling her nieces and nephews and catching glimpses of nature along the Charles River.
