On May 2, 2025, Katie Brandt, the MGH FTD Unit’s Director of Caregiver Support Services and Public Relations, gave the keynote address at the Association for Frontotemporal Degenerations’ annual Education Conference. Katie shared how dementia has shaped her life, from caregiving to her husband Mike and her father to making a career supporting other caregivers and advocating for better policies for people living with dementia and their caregivers. Katie ended her speech with the hopeful message that “Love will end FTD!”
